Question *choice and channel 539?

New channel on *choice. Anyone know who we contact regarding this channel and have them add it to snapstream.net guide?

Thanks

Re: *choice and channel 539?

This is a new channel that has been added to the Starchoice lineup (TCM Turner Classic Movies).

I just checked the Starchoice West lineup on the snapstream.net website and this channel number does not exist.

I tried deleting my current lineup and re-adding it but channel 539 still is not there. (guess I don't have to run the wizard now!)

Just curious about how long it takes for Snapstream.net to reflect newly added channels?

My guess is the delay of Star Choice telling the guide provider about this change which is completely believable because they never bothered to tell us.

You are correct. The cable system has to provide the guide data provider with that lineup change. After the change is added you'll have to delete your lineup and recreate it with the setup wizard. At the current time we don't support dynamic lineup changes, unfortunately.

Re: *choice and channel 539?

And if you do that today 539 is indeed there. It rather sucks that I can "Preview" my current lineup and see 539, but it's really not there. I'm not looking forward to having to create a new lineup and having to go in and deselect all the crap channels I don't want, but I guess I have no choice. <sigh>

This is what I do. I delete the line-up in SS.net. and create the new one. I then open up the channel list from the webadmin and use that as my reference for selelcting the channels on the SS.net setting.

Once I've got all the channels set on SS.net I do the wizard setup. and then do the reverse for the web admin channels. It's such a pain. I only do it if the changes in the guide really start to annoy me. If it's a new channel i don't care about it can wait.

Re: *choice and channel 539?

I didn't have to do your last step (selecting channels to hide in WebAdmin). Once I did the Setup thing to read in the new channel list, it kept my selections. I'd have been even more steamed if I had to go through that process *twice*.
