comcast digital menu issue

Hi All,

Ok, so I have had BTV running for a month or so now. I capture from a Comcast Digital box w/ a usb-uirt to control it and a firefly. I works really well, but I have one last bug to work out.
With my line up, channels above 900 are digital music and not handled the same way it seems as regular channels, by this I mean one can not jump from say 906 to a reg tv channel like say 44.
The problem is, that intermittently when the recorder fires up I get the comcast digital music menu (you can still hear the correct channel in the audio, but the video is this silly music menu), yet after 3-4 minutes into the record the menu clears.

Using a Comcast remote is the only way I have found to clear this issue if it happens when I turn on live tv.

Does anyone have any advice?

Tom

Re: comcast digital menu issue

What do you mean by "when the recorder fires up?"

Does this only happen when you first turn on the cable box, or when changing channels?
If it's the former, then just leave the box on all the time, that's what I do.

Re: comcast digital menu issue

Sorry,
Sometimes when I capture a show using BTV, and also sometimes when the Live TV function is started. I originally thought it might be after a restart, or after I turned off live tv for the day, but any pattern I have found doesn't pan out. It is a puzzle to me...
