XMLTV and blank program guide

My local cable system as multiple sat's so I don't really want the hassle of creating a program guide. Does anyone know of a way to use the "No Information Available" window to show addition channel information? I'd like to be able to create program guide that I could edit myself.

Thanks....

I'm not sure I understand exactly what you want to do. But as for today you can only import in BTV a whole lineup, that is a a collection of channels and associated program data to be linked to a video source of your BTV Setup.

So if you want to fill in the blank of an already existing program guide (that you do get with SnapStream.Net or XMLTV), you'll not be able to do it easily.

If you are already using XMLTV you may be able to import with my importer an additionnal XMLTV file that will fill in the blank of some channels (because my importer can import more than one XMLTV file at a time).

This additionnal XMLTV file can be created by yourself easily.

And if you don't have any program guide, you can also create an XMLTV file to be imported into BTV.

Otherwise there is no way to tell to BTV to update one particular program in existing guide.

Regards,
Stéphane.

Re: XMLTV and blank program guide

Thanks Stephane

What I want to do is use the program guide pane as a display for additional channel information. I was thinking if I could just create an XML file in the right format, I'd be able to put what I want in the program guide area since I'm unable to just turn off the guide info.

My cable system is a mix of different services. A lot of effort to create a program guide.

Thanks for your response....
