USB-UIRT question
Ok I just recieved my usb-uirt today and I ran through the BTV setp wizard again to configure my cable box. Pretty straight forward. I can now control my Motorola DCT2224. My question is I have another DCT224
will the 1 USB-UIRt control both? or do I need to get another one? I 've searched the forum and I was not able to find a thread about this. I have read that many have multiple SAT/Cable boxes hooked to dual tuners. My confirguration is as follows P4 2.4Ghz 2GB Ram BTV 3.5.3 BM 1.0 2 Hauppauge 250BTV (roslyn) 120GB HDD WinXP SP2 300GB HDD for BTV recordings Niveus RF/IR Remote USB-UIRT 2 Motorola DCT2224 (comcast) thanks Shurato |

Re: USB-UIRT question
You can use the multi-zone feature of the USB-UIRT to control both boxes. See this thread:
Anyone using more than one USB-UIRT with BTV? Since both your boxes use the same codes, you would need to use the dual IR bugs and not the main blaster itself.
