Problems accessing Snapstream from work
I am having trouble accessing my Snapstream server inside of my companies network. I try to connect to my computer on port 8129 but all I get in my browser is that the page is not available. I know the Snapstream server is up and running though because I can go outside of my companys network (like at a friends house or internet cafe) and I can access it fine.
I was just wondering which ports I need to request be opened in our firewall to get the software to work and also which protocols on those ports (for both Snapstream admin and Snapstream viewing). Of course, if anybody thinks it's a different problem I would like to hear from those people as well. Thanks. |

Sounds like you're right about it being a firewall problem. Here's what you'll need open:
port 8129 TCP (PVS control) port 1755 TCP and UDP (viewing) Frank Garcia SnapStream Media Technical Support email: techsupport@snapstream.com website: http://www.snapstream.com/support |
