MCE Remote activates BeyondTV AND MCE

My OS is Windows XP MCE 2005. It's installed well and working fine.

I also have BeyondTV 3.5.2 installed and control it with my MCE remote control.

Unfortunately, many of the buttons on the remote activate both BeyondTV and the MCE interface. For example, pressing the LiveTV button will take me to live TV in BeyondTV, but then the MCE interface starts up as well, going to the Live TV.

Is there any way that I can disable some of these buttons from MCE so that they only work for BeyondTV? If not, can they be disabled in the Beyond TV interface?

Finally, is there a description of which MCE buttons do what in BeyondTV?

Sorry, there isn't. I believe the MCE remote simulates keyboard strokes. Unfortunately you can not remap the MCE remote keys or the BTV inputs.

However, what I do is use a learning universal remote and use some of the MCE remote keys and some of the PVR-250 remote keys. My next step is to get a USB-UIRT and Girder. This will let me use any universal remote and just "teach" it to Girder.

Hi,
press start --> run and type "msconfig"
In the last tab called "run" (i believe) there is the list of programs executed at boot time. Uncheck the "ehtray" application and press ok. Reboot and the remote now works only for BM/BTV
