Re: Adding "foreign" items to "Recorded Shows"
Just drop the files into a folder you have set up in BTV. That folder can be the default folder that BTV records shows to, or a separate one you set up.
I do this all the time with files that I get via Bittorrent. I watch them on my BTV setup, then delete them.
There are a few issues with this:
1) BTV automatically marks the files as read-only that makes them appear with a padlock symbol and will not be expired (if you have that setup). They can still be deleted using the normal delete function, set to expire normally, or ignored.
2) They are named using the file name, and put into either a series based on that full name (only applical if viewing by series) or a series as "unknown." This can be mostly modified using the webadmin.
