BTV stops responding, need help!

Hello !

Im having problem with BTV 3.5.2. It stops responding every two days or so.
If i close it and then restart it, it says there are som services still running and gives me a dialog with three choices. Repair, restart or terminate.
Any of these works fine. But i wonder whats wrong with my system.
The PVSconfigservice is the only one i know that is left running. Havent looked to much.

The BTV log doesnt say much....what do i try next?

I have installed the "Debugview" program. And here is my first log after "connecting to service and repair"

Re: BTV stops responding, need help!

Is it only the Viewscape that stops responding? Or are there other indications that the whole BTV system has become unresponsive? For example, the tray icon won't show a menu or won't respond to menu item clicks? Do scheduled recordings still get recorded?

When you Terminate, do you get the Windows message "This program has stopped responding"?

Could you post the BTV log? That would at least show the last thing BTV tried to do before it hung up. (Maybe you already did. I don't know what Debugview is, but the entries in the log you posted are different from, and far more detailed than, what a usual BTV log contains.) If I understand your comments correctly, the log you posted consists of events during the repair attempt. Seems to me it's probably less important to troubleshoot that than to figure out why BTV stopped responding in the first place.

If you can get a post from someone else with the same problem, you can compare system configurations, etc.

Lacking that, if this problem is reproducible and consistent, you should probably file a bug report with official Snapstream support.
