ffdshow, ati and bTV problems

Hi,

I have an ati AIW 9600xt video card (no hardware card) that worked great with Beyond tv 3.5. It worked in both 3d and overlay. (I have an athlon 64 3200+). I recently got a govideo 2730 networked DVD player, which works great with a couple of small hacks. The server software from digital 5 installed ffdshow to transcode the various videos to mpeg2 so the player can play the video. Since then, recording on my Beyond tv, and playing for that matter, has been shaky at best. I am getting those occational pauses in play. My guess is that it is the ffdshow software. Most of the postings I've seen are for hardware tweeks, so I'm wondering if anyone has some setting suggestions for ffdshow so that it will play nice with my AIW. I'm ok with overlay mode, so those setting would be fine. Any help or guidence would be greatly appreciated. BTW, if I could get my napster account and live tv to work with my Govideo, it would be a great device!!!
