Don't try this at home...

Seriously, don't try this...

- Run BTV (I've got 3.5.1 running)
- Fill up the drive that BTV is running on (less than 500kB free disk space.)
- Quit BTV
- Restart BTV

All hell breaks loose. I couldn't even restore my settings from backup, I actually had to uninstall and then reinstall BTV 3.5.1 from scratch (which is another pet peeve...I should be able to install 3.5.1 over top of an existing 3.5.1 install. There isn't a good reason to stop me from doing that!)

It seems that BTV corrupts its own files when there is not enough space on the disk to write the files. The log messages are completely useless too ("please try re-running the setup wizard" - helpful :-)

That was a waste of about 90 minutes of my evening. Of course, it was made worse by the flakiness of the ss.net servers while I was trying to run the setup wizard and download new guide data. 3 tries and it worked...

OK, end of rant :-)
