Record on one drive, move to another for later viewing

Is it possible to set your recording directory for C drive, and then setup another directory for storage of files? I'm thinking there may be an option for showsqueeze or smartskip to write the new file to another drive?

I believe my problem is my C drive has a different HD connection (not sure which, but my 300gb secondary HD is IDE and it is slowing down playback when recording).

If there is a way to allow BTV to recognize moved recordings, as well as move them automatically after smartskip or something, I would be in luck since recording to my 300gb E drive causes stuttering in audio, but recording to my boot drive C plays fine with no problems.

Help is appreciated.

Have you tried setting Showsqueeze to run after every recording, then instead of picking Windows Media Video, picking "Copy"? Make the destination folder in the drive that you want.

Some people have had problems with the Showsqueeze "Copy" function, so I hope it works for you!

A less elegant solution would be to set up a batch file that runs everyday and moves all files from one directory to another. I have something similar, but not for the same reason. I have a directory that I move movies to that I want to burn to DVD. Then during the night they get moved to my main system for DVD burning. You could do something similar, just set up a BTV folder on your secondary drive and then have the batch move the files during the night. They should appear in the new folder with no problem.
