Medusa Pricing

I am curious as to where Snapstream got the pricing for the medusa

Hauppauge PVR-250BTV 6 $539.94
Beyond TV 3.5 (Server) 1 $69.99
Multi Tuner Licenses (Free with card purchase) 4 $0.00

By my calculations the 6 tuner cards come out to be $89.99 each
I can NO WHERE find these or even the 150's for that price... anyone know where they came up with this pricing? If so im off to buy 4.

OR

What's the advantages of having the 250 over the 150... there doesn't seem to be much push for the 250 on the site, most of the bundles have the 150 not the 250 let alone the 250BTV

Re: Medusa Pricing

Thats a good question about the pricing

AFAIK, the 150 and the 250 are the same except the 250 has some extra stuff that comes with it, but for doing video in MPEG encoding, it is exactly the same.

Re: Medusa Pricing

These are not PVR-250's they are PVR-250BTV's. I don't think snapstream sells them anymore.

Re: Medusa Pricing

www.pcalchemy.com sells the pvr-150 for 69.95, and an additional tuner license for 17.95, since you already have two tuner licenses by default...

all prices were pulled from their website

pvr-150s - 69.95*6 = 419.70
add licenses - 17.95*4 = 71.80
btv 3.5 - 64.95

Total = 556.45, +sh so probably not much more than 600 depending on delivery. Could shave a little more with a bundle too.

btw - I got a pvr-150 from them for christmas and it is working great

edited to 6 instead of 4
