Old News?! News Programs in EPG show up as (Repeat)
Talk about yesterday's news!
Whenever the electronic program guide shows a News program (the 6 o'clock news, for example) it ALWAYS shows it as a repeat. I suppose I can just set it to record ALL "episodes" of the news, but it ought to be corrected. Is this fixable? Thanks, Michael

The reason that happens probably is that the guide data doesn't mark the news as "episodic" like other programs....
For news programs "Record All Episodes" is a smart idea if you want to get a show at a particular time slot.

I'm not sure that record all episodes works for this, because it it not time sensitive, so you will get every news broadcast each day (4:00, 5:00, 10:00, etc)

I guess it depends on the actual name of the news show he's recording, now that I think about it.
Maybe a manual recording set would fix this.

A manual recording is probably the easiest, but I generally record all, and then go through upcoming recordings and delete the extras. Finding a way for BTV to handle this in a future release would be wonderful
