AIW 128 and recording and audio issues

I just downloaded the demo and I'm trying to get the program to work. I have an All in Wonder 128 PCI, WinME, and on board ESS audio.

I am using the latest ATI driver that supports WDM and DirectX 8.1

When I record and any different quality level, the audio and video are smooth for 1 or 2 seconds, then thew video gets choppy and the audio gets out of synch. I looks like a badly dubbed movie!

I tryed the option to have the program adjust the audio, and then I got no audio until I reloaded the program.

I see alot of issues with the ATI cards, please help me because this seems to be an awsome program if it works...

I have also had tons of problems with ATI AIW and Windows 2000. I have had it working sucessfully before (have recorded gigs of Video) but trying to reinstall it on the computer (after reinstalling win2k) I can not configure it to record more then 15 seconds. I have tried DirectX 8.1 and DirectX 8.0 with the video capture update 8.0a.
I have used a SnapStream verion I purchased over a year ago, (1.2) and one I downloaded later for free as upgrade (1.5). Can not seem to get either to work.

Win2K sp1
ATI All in Wonder Pro
2 Gig RAM
2 PIII 1GHZ processors
2 40 GB Maxtor HDs
DirectX 8.1 and DixectX 8.0 + 8.0a
Snapstream 1.2 and 1.5
ATI Rage Video Theatre Capture

I am using direct show with the preview pin enabled. If I disable the Preview pin, the size of the file seems to convirm with the intended length of the recording, but will not play back.

Would this work better If I took W2k off and tried 98SE? I have also tried XP but would not work there either.

Please Help!!!!!

I noticed that ATI has VFM drivers available for the AIW 128 PCI, but will this help me? Are the WDM drivers better? Anyone know what the settings should be for my setup???
