Streaming stops after 5 minutes

I'm having a problem that I experienced once in the beta, and couldn't get to repeat then, but is happening constantly now.

Streaming livetv is fine from the web interface, but playing back recorded shows gets an error and stops after 5 minutes. If I hit play in WMP and move the slider to the point in time around when it stopped, it will play again, for another 5 minutes.

I'm having this same problem! I thought that it might be some router setting, but couldn't find anything. I've got a DSL now, I used to have a cable modem and never had this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I also am having the same problem when streaming a previous recording (show squeezed down to Dual ISDN).

On a broadband connection and the BTV Server is set to DMZ, so router not part of problem.

Similar problem for me. Streaming recorded shows will regularly just stop after 5-10 minutes. I'm using the predefined Cable/DSL Medium WMV setting.

Yep, that's the same problem that I'm having. ALSO, anybody try to email Snapstream about this? I enter all the junk they want and then keep getting this error!

We could not send the techsupport email due to an SMTP error.

I entered a support request a week ago, and I didn't get an error (after a few tries), but haven't heard back.

Late last night, rkuo, said that that particular box was having problems. I would try it again Today.

Sheesh! Anybody have any luck with this problem yet? I haven't and have tried a bunch of different stuff including Beyond TV's support, never heard anything back.

I just ran into the issue of video streaming (wmv) stopping after 5 minutes. I'm using windows pocket internet explorer / windows mobile media player . Sounds like it doesn't send the 'keep alive' to stop it giving up streaming 8(

Check post # 12 in in that thread. There was also another workaround which had sometime to do with changing something in the webadmin code. Try checking that one here: Other workaround .

SS knows about the problem and it is being worked on.

Thanks Manny; And I did do a search too *blush*.

I keep forgetting we have the webadmin source code available as well. I'll look at the other workaround. I could do with some tweaks to make my page suit my ipaq better.
