Failed to build Live TV Graph!
I'm installing Snapstream after reconfiguring the PC. It WAS using the PVR USB2 and now it has an internal PVR 250 (both Hauppauge).
I get the error message in the title during the installation. Hauppauge's WinTV 2000 works fine. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but saving my settings. Hate to lose those. Snapstream recognizes that there is a PVR 250, as it prompts for that as the choice during setup. Help! Thanks, Tom |

Re: Failed to build Live TV Graph!
If its not prompting for the usb2 then you don't have the latest drivers. I can get both to run on the system, what you need to do is uninstall both drivers (hwclear) then install the USB drivers, then install the PVR250 drivers.
Make sure to use the base cds found at http://www.shspvr.com so that you do a complete install. When installing the PVR250 it might ask you about overlapping newer files with older versions, answer no. Rerun the setup wizard and all should be good. -Brett

Re: Failed to build Live TV Graph!
I've been having the same issue. I've wiped the files and reinstalled serveral times. In the past BTV would run for a while and then crash when you try to start it again you get the TV graph error. I've noticed now that in the Web Admin area it does not list the video inputs (blank) under the video card.
I'm new to BTV but not computers. Seems to be very strange. I must say. So far my experience has not been good but I'm not giving up yet. |

Re: Failed to build Live TV Graph!
I reformatted the hard drive, reinstalled XP and still get the same error. TV works fine with the Hauppauge application, so it is something in BTV.

Re: Failed to build Live TV Graph!
I fixed it. Stupid human error. I upgraded to the latest Hauppauge drivers and boom, it all worked. Installed my new Firefly too. Pretty darn cool. It's all driving a Dell 4100MP projector with a 120" diagonal screen.

Re: Failed to build Live TV Graph!
Always nice when one owns up after having blamed BTV.
Enjoy your setup. Eric

Re: Failed to build Live TV Graph!
I'm running into the same problem although I have a different tuner card (WinTV PVR-250). If I use WinTV2000 before attempting a Beyond TV 3.4.4 install, everything works fine. Video and audio is great. However, as soon as I attempt to install BTV, I get the message "Failed to build Live TV Graph". I had previously installed BTV 3.3 and had it working (kind of). I had live tv and it would record. However, I ran into some "blue screen" issues quite frequently.
I also notice that during the install wizard process, it prompts me for a video input showing several video choices including two "Video Composite" choices. My video input is from a video composite cable connected to my DSS receiver. I'm also running the audio from this receiver using rca cables that are combined into a mini stereo plug that I connect directly to my WinTV PVR-250 card. This connection worked perfectly with WinTV2000 software. Which "Video Composite" choice to I choose in the wizard? Why are there 2 choices for the same thing? Are they different in any way? I have tried both, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Re: the audio input choice in the wizard, which one do I choose? As I described above, the audio is going directly into the WinTV PVR-250 tuner card. There doesn't seem to be a choice for this in the wizard. I also notice that after the BTV install and partially thru the wizard to the point of the error message above, I no longer can get sound from Windows Media Player 9.0 (radio tuner or cd's), WinTV2000, or the normal "You've got mail" from AOL connection. It appears that the installation of BTV 3.4.4 changes something in my Wndows XP Pro audio settings to cancel audio output capability. If I use Windows XP Restore to return to a "pre BTV install" state, all audio/video works fine. Simply attempting an uninstall of BTV 3.4.4 still leaves my audio capability all *$!*% up. As I've mentioned above, I did not run into this issue with BTV 3.3. Any ideas? Thanks. |
