Snapstream.net redirected to http://www.portland.co.uk/404.esp???

I'm seeing something really strange on my BeyondTV computer.

When I go to www.snapstream.net I end up at:

http://www.portland.co.uk/404.esp

Because of that my Snapstream can't download new shows.

Anybody seen anything like this??

That's unlikely; the computer only runs IIS and Snapstream, and is not used for web browsing. It's also properly patched. I tested other websites (Yahoo, Google, etc) and they are fine.

Strange, wondering if anyone else has seen this.

Nope, working fine here. You could check the DNS server you use to see if it is responding with the correct IP Address. If it is, then it is a good chance the problem is your PC.

I did try a dns lookup and the IP is correct. And it works fine where I am (my Snapstream server is remote). Very weird.

It is likely something similar to gator that is trying to catch the webpage and redirect it but failing, I have seen similar problems with some computers that has "spy" software on them.

It would do the same thing if I was in google and typed certain search phrases.

Sounds like spyware to me.

IE is always there. You might not use it much but it is always there waiting to be hijacked by spyware.
