Videos plays better using "default" decoder than "Nvidia"
I have a AMD 1200+ box running 3.4.4 on XP Sp1.
I have NVdvd 2.55 installed. For some odd reason, when I select the "Preferred MPEG-2 Decoder" from default to Nvidia Video Decoder, the performs peaks above 100% and makes the playback of videos choppy. When I select "Default" it makes my CPU hoover between 95-100% which does not cause the CPU to max out and causing choppiness of video playback. Is there something I need to do to ensure that Nvidia's MPEG decoder is being used. It just seems odd to me that it performs worse than the Default when a bunch of thread indicate that Nvidia's codec should be better. Thanks in advance - J
