ipaq does not play

I transcoded to Ipaq standard. But when I tried to play it on ipaq, right after I clicked the link, the windows media player 7.1 opened, and then just stoped doing anything. Can anyone help?

I can play web clips on it though.

What OS are you running on your Desktop? I noticed with my XP Desktop that the videos are encoded with WM8 Audio. Maybe your Ipaq can't decode that so it doesn't try. Check your IPAQ Standard settings to see what codec it uses. Look on your IPAQ to see what settings it sees the file as.

Sorry,
I though I was able to stream the video right off the PC to my Pocket PC. I guess I needed to download it to play. It worked fine this way. But, is it possible to stream it?

It is possible to stream it but the files still need to be transcoded. If you have an ethernet connection then you can stream it right from your desktop to your pocket pc.

Really?!
I was not able to though. When I click on watch on transcoded link in PocketPC profile, the media player opens but it is not even connecting or buffering the stream. Can you help me out?

Media Player 7.1 for PocketPC has a HUGE bug which does not allow it to stream from any computer unless you can reference it with a real DNS name.

Tech Preview 2 does not have this bug. I am not sure if the Media Player 8 for PocketPC OS 2002 has the same bug.
