choppy frame rate on hp jornada

Is there any way I can get the frame rate to match the audio. I am getting a slideshow on my jornada 547. The audio is real clear, but its not easy trying to watch a sabre duel in ultra slow motion.

My desk top is a celeron 700 w/384 mb, ati all in wonder pro win me. Any suggestions, I cant afford the new jornada at over 600$

Hello, I have the journada 548, which is the same unit, different cradle, I think. I had the same problem you did. YOu need to convert it to a format with a lower bitrate so the slower pocket pc can stream it easier. What you want to do is download the "Windows Media Encoder" from microsoft, at

Download and install it, then run it. Use the wizard, follow the steps, when asked for what profile to use to encode it, choose color pocket pc(150kbs). On mine, the quality is fine, the video is centered on the screen, only taking up like 60%. I guess that's how it works.

Ak 8338. after i use media encoder how do i put the video on my jornada to view it, the pocket pvs reencodes it?

After you encode a new file, just drag it to your pocket pc in explorer, when it is sync'd up to the pc.

do you have the pocket PVS add on software?

I have pvs 2.0 and pocket pvs. I also have problems with pvs when attempting to capture, I get no sound, i have no way to choose audio input. I get perfect captures using mgi video wave 5, ulead video studio 4 and ati rage pro tv capture.
I hate to sound like a dummy, but I really want to capture the simpsons on to my jornada to watch during my lunch breaks at work ;-).... to ak3883 I'll try draging the item to the pocket device icon in my computer

you can change the videobit rate in configure -> qualities -> jornada -> edit

nono! dont change the bitrate! under the advanced conversion settings, type"0" for image quality... it is very smooth with adequate video quality..
