Smartskip - what does it look for ?

Does anyone know what smartskip is looking for in recordings to define a chapter ?

I have tried processing two different recordings and it has not found any chapters within them.

It mainly looks for black space in the recording. This feature is very dependant on signal quality and the presence of that black space. Basically it is not guaranteed to work for everyone and every channel.

hmmm just checked the test recording and indeed no blank spaces - it was too busy showing adverts to have time for empty frames lol.
