Stream mpg

I would like to stream a recorded show to another computer. I can stream wmv but not mpg.

Actually what I am trying to do is stream a 5 GB file from a computer without video out capability to a computer that does have video out capability and than record it on my VCR. I have proven that I can do this with a recompressed wmv file but I prefer to use a mpg file for the source.

This is a limitation of PVS. I hope that it gets fixed someday so that I can stream live TV from my PRV-250. But for now, you are right, wmv can be streamed, MPEG cannot.

But you can of course recompress MPEG to wmv and then stream it.

pvs doesn't natively support streaming mpeg, and though not a priority to me, i wish they would. look here for a workaround that seems to work for some.

Does it make any difference that I am not trying to stream live TV, rather recorded events?
