Audio is fine.. video is choppy...

I have windows xp and ati video card.. when I record a show.. the audio is fine.. but the video is choppy... The machine is only used to record tv shows.. so no other processes that I am aware of while tv show is recording.. any thoughts?

What quality are you recording at ? Is your CPU power being maxed out during the recording ? What tv tuner are you using and are you using WDM or VFW drivers ? Have you tried at a lower quality to see if that works ?
