Slow channel Change Response

I have SS control my dishnetwork PVR 501 with an IR200. It works but when I change channels with the PVR 250 silver remote, there is a long delay before it gets to the channel. It seems to type out the numbers to slow. Is there a way to speed this up?

Two possibilities:

1. There is always some delay between the "actual" live broadcast (data stream coming into your house) and the picture displayed by SnapStream. This delay varies as a combination of encoder latency, decoder latency, recording quality (and probably others). One way this latency is noticeable is in seemingly slow channel changes (time between when you use the remote and the result shows on your screen)

2. SnapStream can change the speed of the IR200s transmission by decreasing the number in this Web Admin setting: Web Admin->Configure->Advanced Settings->Video Sources->Edit Settings->Time Between Transmissions. I have mine set to 100 milliseconds for a Hughes DIRECTV.

Hope this helps. If you think the "live" TV channel switching can be slow, try changing the channel in network streaming - takes about 5 - 7 seconds to change after you choose the new channel.
