Screen saver

Greetings,

I have a BTV Link system in my bedroom for watching TV before going to sleep. In the interest in power savings and monitor life I would like BTV Link to actually turn off the monitor when it goes into its screen saver mode instead of just dimming the screen.

I believe Beyond Media behaves this way, so perhaps I will get this feature when BTV Link starts using the Beyond Media menu interface, but I thought I'd ask to get developer confirmation.

Thx.

Re: Screen saver

From what I recall, this is a DirectX limitation.

Re: Screen saver

so then why is this limitation not in beyond media?

It seems to work in there just fine.

Re: Screen saver

I've never seen the actual reason, but I've seen lots of postings in this (and other forums) with people having similar issues. Here's an example:
standby and viewscape
