Unavailable time slots

I just saw an issue opened by stevehiner in on the beta site. I started to comment on the issue there but I guess here would be a better place.

I didn't want to open a new issue for this because I am not really sure if it is a problem. Here is the issue I am speaking of. I have not had an instance where I missed a show, but I have noticed in the last couple of releases that I see several occurrences in the middle of the guide where it shows timeslots unavailable. I don't ever remember seeing that in previous releases. Is this a bug, or just faulty guide data?

Re: Unavailable time slots

Delete your .NET channel listings account and recreate it. Your cable company changed its channel lineup and BTV can't figure it out. (Bug needs to be fixed) Comcast has changed their channel lineup 4 times on me in the past 2 years.

Re: Unavailable time slots

IN my case it's usually maybe one or two places I will see it. All shows before and after will be correct. It also doesn't seem to be related to any one channel.

Re: Unavailable time slots

I've seen this in the past, and I believe that there is a "hole" in the full/incremental update scheme. If I do a full update, and have guide data for days 1-10, but the provider doesn't have data for some of the time slots on day 8 on channel 9, the incremental updates will never get the data because they will go from day 11 forward. Not sure if anything but daily full updates would solve this.

On a related note, I noticed that the local processing of the guide updates (both full and incremental) are taking between 2.5 and 3 hours for the last three days. This is on a BTV dedicated server (P4 2.6) doing nothing else during the update. In the past, it never took more than 10 - 20 minutes for this step.
