Problems with install of BM on XP x64

I have been trying to get Beyond Media to install and work on my windows XP x64 HTPC box. I searched and found nothing on any problems with xp x64.

I have also submitted a support ticket to Snapstream and have not recieved any response in 5 days.

When BM installs it tries to download and install direct x 9 summer update. Direct x 9c is already installed. Once it says it is finished and you try to launch it to configure it, it comes up with the following pop up error box.

SSBeyondMedia.exe - Common Language Runtime Debugging Services

Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.

Process id=0x440 (1088), Thread id=0x4a8 (1192).

Click OK to terminate the application.
Click CANCEL to debug the application.

Anyone that can shed any light on this or whats going on and how to fix it would be greatly appreciated. It really sucks to have purchased a program that I can't even get to work or use.

Thanks in advance to any help provided.

Both of the prior posters should know that BM is no longer sold and is no longer supported. (unfortunately)

Re: Problems with install of BM on XP x64

well i got my answer.....

Thanks for writing in and Beyond Media is not supported in any 64-bit operating system.

Sincerely,

Michael Bui
SnapStream Media, Inc.

this sucks..... loved BM, but i had to switch OS to x64 so i can utilize 8gigs of ram. anybody have any suggestions for a work around or for another media player like BM with a remote? i need a program that uses a library with really big file icons so i can see the files from across the room. i dont like vista or windows media player.

thanks
