Beyond media hates me....

Hopefully someone can help me out with this before I pull all my hair out. I had BM working just perfect before, but ultimately had to re-install XP and it's never worked quite right since.
Issue 1- on DVD playback, I can never get SPDIF. Even though I select SPDIF, all I can get is PCM. On my pc I have windvd, power dvd, MCE 2005, and ac3 filter. But when I go into the dvd settings menu, under the video and audio filters menus, my only options are "none" or "intervideo." Changing the audio filter doesn't seem to change a thing. So I can never get true Dolby Digital.

Issue 2- I can't turn off Subtitles. I've read all kinds of forums on this, and all kinds of debates on weather it's subtitles or closed captioning. The one thing I haven't found: A solution.

Issue 3- I can no longer get DVD Library to play back any of my images. It will parse, load all the covers, but when I try to play the movies, I get "Invalid file or invalid external player path." It again makes no difference if I go into the settings and manually change the player to a different one (ie windvd or power dvd).

Any body have any suggestions? If Snapstream wasn't going to support beyond media anymore, they could have at least put out a definitive final version that didn't have so many issues. Or at least make a patch .

sounds like a codec issue. i had the same thing with the closed captions etc.
what audio and video codecs are you using?

I've tried using the filter that says "user 9bc1b781-85e3-11d2-98d00080c84e9c39"- i don't know what this is- I've also tried intervideo and none. Is there a way to try other's like power dvd? The spdif usually works now, but the other problems are constant.

I am have problems w/ the first two. My screen wont format dvd's to full screen either and it worked fine before.

1) No Spdif
2) Subtitles wont turn off
3) screen wont format to fill black bars

All this worked before and is gone. Any solutions?
