Beyond Media Works Great For Me

I have tried almost all the HTPC front ends out there XP MCE, VISTA MCE, MY HTPC, MEEDIO (which I did like in XP Pro dosent work very well in vista) Media Portal, Sage TV, TVedia and a couple others that I cant remember.
Beyond Media still works With XP or Vista. Granted the DVD Library is its saving grace. I have 240 movies on a 2.5T array. Some are recorded off Satellite and edited. Some are ripped DVD's. They all show up in the DVD Library and it works greatl! Its useless to even attempt using another front end. The only thing that is going to kill it is if someone doesnt come up with a way to playback HD and Blue Ray DVD's. I read a lot of complaints about BM and I know it doesnt have 3D effects and BTV intigration and SS doesnt really pay a any attention to it anymore. But after all this time, it still "Just Works"....

Re: Beyond Media Works Great For Me

I also have to agree with you, despite several times venturing into media portal- mce-and other BM has been pretty flawless for the dvd library and games and usability. I would like to see nicer skins though like mediaportal though.
