Can you rephrase that? Media extender... meaning - some type of wireless device for sending the a/v?

ok - AFAIK - any "sender" will work as long as you have the proper output...
The range is supposed to be 50 ft... As far as using a universal remote... for....? or in place of...? You can use other remotes with Beyond Media - if that is the question....

IIRC, Media Extenders are for usage with Windows MCE only.
