Re: [plugin] XM Radio

What is required to use this plugin? I'm assuming you have to be a XM radio subscriber to have access to the channels?

Re: [plugin] XM Radio

You just have to be a subscriber. If you try loading it without a subscription, you get the generic no subscriber message. Next update I'll make sure I note in the requirements that you need an XMRO subscription

Re: [plugin] XM Radio

Would this be difficult to port to Sirius (or the Premium, CD quality subscription stream)? Sorry, you had to know this was gonna get asked ASAP Great submission, though!

Re: [plugin] XM Radio

I won't be porting to Sirius because I don't know anything about their API since I don't own the service.

The XM "high" stream is the best quality that I know of.

I also would be intersted in a sirius version. Cool plug-in for those with XM subscription.

Re: [plugin] XM Radio

As far as I know XM Radio's streaming bitrate is 64k, while Sirius recently upgraded theirs to 128k. I don't use either, but I would be interested in a Sirius plugin as well.

Go to Settings -> XM Radio. You can set your email and password for the XMRO service here.

Re: [plugin] XM Radio

Well, that would involve getting a Sirius radio online account and I just don't have the wallet to get another $12 service. Plus, I really don't want Sirius because I like XM. I don't even know if they have a similar API for their media player so I'd have to research that, however I need an account to do it . I'll see if a friend of mine would let me borrow his account.

Re: [plugin] XM Radio

This is a great plugin! I have one request, could you verify that it works with the BTV skin? I don't seem to have a bar that highlights like you do up there, I have to basically scroll down, select a channel, see what it's playing and then adjust onscreen accordingly to find the channel I want.

Having XM channel 150 in the living room playing while I'm making dinner rocks!

great job!

Re: [plugin] XM Radio

Yeah it looks like there are skin issues, it also has problems with BMApple too. It works fine with others that I've tested so I'm cool now that I've figured it out...

Edit: BMTivo too
