Re: [plugin] XM Radio

More often than not, when I go to use the XMRadio plugin, BM just hangs. I have to end the task and restart BM. I would say this occurs about 2/3s of the time.

If I wait for some timeout to occur, several minutes, then I can go back to using BM without killing it.

I assume you have an XMRO id? When does it hang? When you start the plugin, when you are using it or when you exit it? Can you play music? How long do you wait until you end the BM task?

Can you post your BM log when the crash occurs?

It hangs right when I push the button to load it. I never get to the list of channels. When I terminate and restart BM it usually works the first time.

One time when I let it time out, I saw a message at the top of the screen that read something like 'invalid credentials'. I tried again and it worked.

Re: [plugin] XM Radio

Today I waited for the timeout. The plugin simply said "Login Error" where the tack info usually resodes. Nobody else is using my account at the time. I'll change my password with XM to be sure.

Re: [plugin] XM Radio

First off, GREAT plugin. I just built a new HTPC box and looked at plugins for the first time in a long while. This one blew me away, and I love it.

So I've built my new HTPC and now I'm making a shiny new skin to complete the project. What I wanted to know, is it possible to have an XM Radio specific icon in the main menu? Right now it uses the Settings icon and I can't figure out how to change it. (Not much of a coder). Any help you (or anyone) can throw my way will be most appreciated.

Either way, thanks for the sweeeeet plugin.

I already have something in the works. Look out for an update next week hopefully.

Re: [plugin] XM Radio

VERSION 1.0 RELEASED!! (see first post for link and preview)

Release Notes:
Revamped interface.
Left side column has Genre shortcuts.
Middle column has full playlist with Channel, Artist, Title and Album details.
Right side column has 7 favorites that can be set by highlighting the channel you want to preset and hitting numbers 1 through 7 on the keyboard or firefly remote.
Volume buttons (+ and - on the keyboard) increase or decrease the media player, not Beyond Media's volume control.
Mutes UI sounds temporarily to prevent dinging when pad data updates. UI sounds re-enable if originally enabled on exit.
(Lousy) XM logo on main screen (Any graphics artists out there want to help out??)

Hopefully Kilrsat will update the first post but the link in the first post works.

Let me know if there are any problems.

Yahoo Widgets has a Sirius player that is pretty good. The only problem I've found with it is it's too small for people using 1024 and bad eyesight.

Could the widget information help with creating a Sirius plugin for BM?

There is another WMP plugin but it distorts the audio stream.

Re: [plugin] XM Radio

I have very little interest in developing a Sirius plugin but if there are web services available (like XML,JSPs with XM) I can try to put something together. But, I don't have a Sirius account so that creates a problem with testing (unless someone "lends" me their Sirius online account).

I wonder what will happen with the merger.
