Re: [plugin] Netflix

I freakin love you man. This is great. Any chance of getting some search functionality in here so you could add any movie to your queue instead of just the ones on Netflix's lists?

This is one of the things I would love to add to the plugin (along with deleting from and reordering of the Queue) if Netflix would add direct support for this. It might be technically possible to add this now but it would require some nasty html parsing which would be a serious pain. I have put in a request to Netflix to add this support so hopefully they will listen...

Re: [plugin] Netflix

Yah, search and reorder would be schweet...but it's very useful as is..thanks! I did the copy/paste of the ID info into the .XML, thanks for that tip in the doco. Question: is there any caching of download data currently? Large lists like the Top 100 can take awhile to pull.

The DVD cover images are cached. Downloading the images is what takes a lot of time but only the first time you download the list. Subsequent downloads should be much faster (the Top 100 only takes a few seconds for me after the first download).

Ahhh...thought there was some going on...didn't get a lot of time to play with it yesterday tho'. Is the cache persistent between sessions (as in exit the plugin, go back in later)?

Re: [plugin] Netflix

This Plugin is great! I downloaded it and it worked perfectly the first time.

I used to use something similiar when I used Meedio. On that version it had the ability to play previews from the Netflix site. Any chance that could be added as a feature down the road?

Thanks for the extra work to make this plugin

Yes, the only way the images will be cleared is if you manually delete them (they are in the Downloads subdirectory of the plugin).

This would be cool. I will keep it in mind for a possible future addition.

Re: 1.1 Update

I just submitted an update that adds Queue management (deleting and reordering DVDs in your Queue). I hope it works well for you.

Here is my disclaimer:

Note that changes are saved directly to your Queue via the Netflix website. I have not found any issues and this seems to work well but I cannot guarantee that there won't be any problems that might adversely affect your Queue. Let me know of any problems you might have.
