Close BeyondMedia open:
c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SnapStream\Beyond Media\Plugins\dvdcatalog\movies.xml

The next version will help with "various" types of correction abilities as well as a better source for data (Amazon).

Thanks for this feedback! I was worried that would be the case, I am gonna go ahead and update the release notes now.

Re: [plugin] DVD Library (Jan 24 Update)

I placed those 2 files plugins.xml and menues.xml into the two directories and now I see the DVD Library icon on the top, the DVD icon has been turned off, but the problem is that when I click the DVD library nothing happens. Worst off DVD library is missing from the settings. Can anyone give me an original file. (I know I should have backed them up)

Re: [plugin] DVD Library (Jan 24 Update)

I'm using DVDShrink 3.2 to rip my DVDs to IFO/VOB/BUPs to be picked up by DVD Library but not getting consistent results from DVDL in recognising them when I scan for new or do a total re-scan. Sometimes doesn't seem to pick on a newly ripped DVD. Just now, I scanned & it didn't pick up anything then I rescanned again & it did.

Also At the moment its scanning a DVD I just ripped but seems to be stuck cos its till "Currently parsing" with the movie name & path showing after 5 minutes.

What rippers are other people using. Is this likely to be a ripper problem?

Re: [plugin] DVD Library (Jan 24 Update)

I think it would help if dvdl could scan sub folders. If you put your iso''s into sep fodler then you need to add those folders which is time consuming.

Re: [plugin] DVD Library (Jan 24 Update)

I have been using this plugin for a couple of weeks now, with no major issues until now. Last night, I ran a defrag and scandisk on my computer, and after rebooting, DVD Library plugin did not have any of my movies. I verified that the movies were still there and playable, and then searched for new movies. No luck. I then cleared the records and rescanned - still nothing. I have tried re-ripping (always using DVD Decrypter), using a different directory, re-installing BM and the DVD Library plugin w/ no success. Before I ran the defrag, I everything ran like clockwork. Now I am at a loss. Any assistance or suggestions would be welcome.

Re: [plugin] DVD Library (Jan 24 Update)

I am having the same problem as SithLord. Plugin worked GREAT for about a week. Then, last night I added two new DVD's (to my existing 17). I did a rescan and it hung at "parsing". I deleted and re-added the DVD location and got the same results. It seems to find about 4-5 DVD's and then stops. I have re-booted, etc.

Re: [plugin] DVD Library (Jan 24 Update)

There was a change to the IMDb html template which will cause the old parser to return no results more often than not.

Its been corrected, but the current solution is to simply wait for the next version.

Re: [plugin] DVD Library (Jan 24 Update)

Because of this issue, I am gonna currently remove the plugin available from download. For new users Version 1.3 should be available within a day or two at most.

Thats Jason's call. The build is done as far as I know, so it can't be that long. Even has a few extra treats in there

I'm in the process of triple checking everything that exists currently, to make sure everything works as close to perfectly as possible.

Checking consistency, accuracy, and general robustness right now (and have been all morning actually). It isn't the fastest or easiest work, but the end result is that the quality and reliability of the next version should be top notch.

When that's finished I still have to decide about including two more features or not.
