I don't have an application data folder, just a documents folder which has a snapstream folder within it with BTV settings.

How else can I look for my settings.... i.e. find ....*.*?

Its a hidden folder, you need to enable displaying of hidden folders if you wish to browse to it.

1. From the start menu, select "Run..."
2. Type "C:" and hit enter
3. Double click on "Documents and Settings"
4. Double click on "All Users"
5. From the Tools Menu, select "Folder Options..."
6. Click on the "View" tab
7. Under the "Advanced settings" window, find the "Hidden files and folders" setting and select "Show hidden files and folders"
8. Click "Ok"

Re: [plugin] DVD Library (Jan 24 Update)

Suggestion for change/addition. I was trying to add a movie last night and I could not get the Library to recognise the correct title.

The movie I have is Into The Woods not The Evil Dead aka Into the woods (working title).

Is there some way that we could either have the import function work like one of the features of the orginal version where it would take a title and then give a list of suggestions to use? For input it could use the directory name c:\movies\Into The Woods as the basis to suggest a list of movies from IMDB.
-or-
Could you put in the option of letting us name the directory using IMDB's serial number of the movie to pull the name. That way I can set the dir name to c:\movies\tt0099851 and get the correct name and info.

The easy answer is that all your problems will be solved in a week or so

Re: [plugin] DVD Library (Jan 24 Update)

Full of suggestions today and I want to separate them out for clarity.

The other thing I noticed last night when trying to add, and then remove movies last night was that there is no easy way to remove titles. I ended up going in and editing the XML. During this I found that you are placing the posters in their own directory. I had to pull a few jpg of uncessful rips out of that dir. The movie was never successfully rippped, but the library had already pulled the jpgs down.

If you saved this jpg in the directory with the movie, it would be cleaned out with the movie. Instead of a seperate or manual job.

Oops, I guess this wouldn't work with ISO's. Maybe just a button to delete movie from library/computer....with option to hide so that someone's kids don't delete their favorite movie.

BTW, Thanks for all the work you are continuing to do on this project. Isn't it interesting how much better this pluging has got since That other developer dropped off. I hope you both got stock in harddrive companies. I ended up ordering another one for my box over the weekend because your library is going to put me out of space.

You know I have the privilege to ban people

Anyway, when you see the next two plugins I am cooking up for the upcoming months you will be greatly satisified, no hints yet . Besides, this plugin was nearing a point where only one developer was really need anyway.

is there any way to move the order of menu items? I'd like some of the plugins at the top.

Ha

FIRST CLOSE BEYOND MEDIA...

Browse to:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SnapStream\Beyond Media

Lets use the DVD Catalog (as an example) Under Plugins\DVDCatalog\

you will see Plugins.xml:

find the code segment:
Code:
<MenuItem Label="DVD Library" Image="SSBM_MainMenu_Settings">
   <MenuItem.Action>
       <ShowScreen Screen="DVDCatalog_Settings" />
   </MenuItem.Action>
</MenuItem>
Copy it, and then delete it out of plugins.xml, its actually in plugins.xml TWICE so delete it in both places.

Now go back to the BeyondMedia root folder and you will see Menues.xml.

Insert the plugin info whereever you want it for example here I have placed it below Photos...
Code:
<MenuItem Id="Photos" Label="Photos" Image="SSBM_MainMenu_Photos">
    <MenuItem.Action>
       <ShowScreen Screen="PhotoScreen"/>
    </MenuItem.Action>
</MenuItem>
<MenuItem Label="DVD Library" Image="SSBM_MainMenu_DVD">
    <MenuItem.Action>
       <ShowScreen Screen="DVDCatalogScreen" />
    </MenuItem.Action>
</MenuItem>
I have attached an updated plugins.xml and menues.xml. It will REMOVE DVD from the main menu and put DVD Library in the main menu instead. As always BACK UP YOUR FILES first.

Re: [plugin] DVD Library (Jan 24 Update)

Great plug-in. So simple my wife could use it.

Is there a way to change or alter the description for the movies? Or the DVD Cover image? I noticed that for some descriptions, it was showing what looked to be HTML code in with the description.

I'm only running the Demo version of BM right now, so I can't actually play any DVD's, but this plug in alone has me sold on BM as a whole. Great work.

Re: [plugin] DVD Library (Jan 24 Update)

BM is not the most powerful compared to the other front ends BUT it is stable. I have dumped meedio and switche dto it because out of the box, it jsut simply works. much like BTV.
