This only worked for me the first time I tried it. Now I only get the names of movie theaters, but no show times.

I've also had mixed results with this. I suspect that it is getting its data on startup, and if it isn't available or is partially available, we get less than perfect results.

I always get the following error in my log when BM starts for this plugin:

12/02/2004 06:50:50 [Serialization] Encountered unknown attribute while processing MovieShowtimesSkin.xml: TextBoxMargins="0,0,0,275"

Actually that is why they are looking for new hobby developers...

Standard Message for anyone reading:

We are looking for some hobby developers to take on this code (as well as any of a few other plugins). The developer of course would get full ownership of the code and could do with it whatever they want (hopefully atleast fixing the noted bugs).

I'm starting to see some additional data (movies, theaters, etc) when this plugin comes up.

HOWEVER, I noticed (and this is kinda a big thing)... The showtimes are all WRONG.

I've got another question, as well... How do you uninstall a plugin? Not DEACTIVATE; I want to delete it.

Currently, you have to shut down BM and then remove the directory from C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SnapStream\Beyond Media\Plugins

Brett - I am interested in fixing up this plugin... I am in development of a showtimes plugin for Meedio but have programmed it in a way to easily support other programs such as Beyond Media... but I am programming in Visual Basic .NET... is that okay with Beyond Media? How do I get more information to make a plugin for Beyond Media? My plugin also downloads movie posters and trailers for each movie...

They work in 2k3...

What happens if you doubleclick the file?

Try renaming the extension to .cab and doublecliking the file, does that open an archive? If so drag and drop it in:

C:\documents and settings\all users\application data\snapstream\beyond media\plugins (or wherever the equivalent is located in w2k). Come to think of it, you may not be able to do this if you have a limited w2k account.

I had this with the BETA version of BM, I installed the replase code and now all is well.

I'm interested in knowing this as well. Did either of you guys find out of VB.NET is cool? In theory it should be as the CLR supports cross language compatability but...

I don't see any reason why VB.net wouldn't work for BM, it worked just fine for BTV.

If we could get some info on starting a plugin in VB.net, I would be all over it. I've had some improvement ideas for Movie Showtimes and Beyond Drunk for a while now.
