Re: [plugin] Movie Showtimes (April 14 Update)

I'm going to throw my hat in on this one, too. Its been a couple of weeks and I've noticed the same thing the others reporting this problem have: the movie times update, but the newer trailers never download. I suspect that the site the trailers are grabbed from has changed something that ultimately broke trailer downloads.

I'll be more than happy to help solve the issue if I can (instead of just complaining about it.) I'm sure its said over and over, but the developers of these plugins have done such a fantastic job that we now come to rely on them as part of the functionality of our BM implementation. Even if no further development is done, thank you for what you have done thus far, especially seeing as how you are not compensated for your time and efforts.

If the source is avaialbe for Showtimes, I'll have a look if this is something the current developers are no longer interested in maintaining.

Thanks again!

Stu

Same error here. Stuck on updating trailers for a while now and none of the new movies have any trailers at all.

Re: [plugin] Movie Showtimes (April 14 Update)

I wonder if there's a hack fix to this problem. Do we know if the URL(s) to pull the trailers is configurable? Maybe we can write a hack that we install on our machine, or a shared server, and point our broken Showtimes plugin to that hack fix?

I may check into this. This might be workable.

Cheers,
Scott

Re: [plugin] Movie Showtimes (August 4 Update)

This is QUITE the AWESOME plugin. On the movie details page, rather than show a buttong for viewing available trailers, would it be possible to have the ShowTimes button at the top of the list and have all available trailers list below, rather than going into another screen?

Would it also be possible, in the movie view list, to show the movies as icons with the movie title below, similar to DVD Library?

Re: [plugin] Movie Showtimes (August 4 Update)

Unfortunately, with the abandonment of BM, all of the plugin writers don't seem to be adding new features to their plugins, and who can blame them.

Usually, when the content providers change their websites, this will break our plugins, but the plugin writers will usually fix them so they work again. Adding new features will most likely not happen.

Re: [plugin] Movie Showtimes (August 4 Update)

Is the latest source to this plugin available? I want to use the QT part that gets trailers to pull movies from Apple's trailer site to write a upcoming movie trailers plugin.
