Audio issues

I am using SPDIF out for my audio and when running this mod I get a picture but no sound passing through... I ahve tried configuring the Quicktime Alternative many ways but still no sound.......

Anyone else have this problem and possible solution?

Thanks -JD

I know this doesn't help, but I've heard of this before and at the moment I can't recall what causes it. I'm just waking up so hopefuly after having a few more cups of coffee it'll come back to me. Stick with it, I know someone here can solve it.

Thanks, still no sound with SPDIF passthrough enabled...
My entire DVD section runs in 5.1 surround but cannot get the sound using the Quicktime Alternative (no SDIF settings??).
I can re-encode to mpeg file and then play the trailer with sound but not worth the time.
Any thoughts?

Do you know where to find the trailers that BM downloads? Try playing a file directly with Quicktime Alternative. Then maybe fiddle with the audio settings in QT alternative and see if something works. Another thought is to see if it's a QT alternative problem and play some other media type with it and see if you get audio. That's the only thing I can think of at the moment is it's an issue with QT playing from your BM configuration, or a QT configuration thing.

Good luck.

Scott

I can play a .mov file with Media Player Classic and get sound. But, I don't think that the Showtimes plugin uses Media Player Classic from within Beyond Media. It just uses the Quicktime Alternative codec which doesn't have a configuration ooption for SPDIF.
I wish there was a way from within the Showtimes plugin configuration that you could choose which player to use. I have seen this option in other plugins for other programs.

Re: [plugin] Movie Showtimes (April 14 Update)

Installed the plugin, but I don't appear to have the option to enter a valid zip code. I can highlight the "Browse by Theater", "Browse by Move", and "Browse by Opening This Week", but cannot seem to be allowed to enter a valid zip code.

Any ideas?

It's been a while but I believe the zip code is entered in the setup options for the plugin.

Cheers,
Scott

Yes, I'm having the same problem.

The trailers stopped downloading about three weeks ago.

I'd sure like to have that working again, I really like that feature.

Ditto. About three weeks ago trailers stopped, and I'd sure like a fix.

Re: [plugin] Movie Showtimes (April 14 Update)

Started seeing the same problem you guys did. I thought it was something I did that messed it up. If I manually force a download it works sort of.

I'd also like to see a version without the send to Netflix option. If I hit this button accidentally, it locks up BM.

Re: [plugin] Movie Showtimes (April 14 Update)

This plugin works perfectly as soon as I load it. It does exactly what it needs to do with no frills.

I do, however have one suggestion. It would be nice if the title of the movies were either bold, or a slightly larger font, or both. It kind of runs together wiht the showtimes right now, and makes it hard to read.

Take for instance, there is a movie out right now called 1408. It looks just like another show time because it is not set apart any way.

Not a huge deal, but it's the only issue I had with it.

Thanks for the plug in!

Exclamation Re: [plugin] Movie Showtimes (April 14 Update)

I am having the same issue with the trailers. it sort of "hangs" on the step of "updating trailers". I can still do everything, but when I pull up the trailer folder via a networked laptop, I only see all the old trailers. A bug or version fixz would be so GREATLY appreciated, and the Karma would be pretty kick-butt too!

I have the exact same problem. From my experience, I suspect this is one of those things where you need to wait until the next movie week. I'm not 100% on this but it's a running feel I've had. I'm hoping today things will be back to normal.

Cheers,
Scott
