I should have thought of that. It was late...oh well.

Does other media play fine in BM?

My guess is a CODEC issue. I'm using Quicktime Alternative. A while ago there was a thread regarding issues with specific versions. You might want to check that to see what version works for everyone. I don't have a clue. I installed it a long time ago and forgot about it.

Cheers,
Scott

Re: [plugin] Movie Showtimes (April 14 Update)

I've always used the QT Alt. version 1.41. I think you can download it from here: http://www.codec-download.com/module...ownload&sid=27

There are newer full releases and even some betas but I've always used 1.41 from the beginning and it's always worked.

Re: [plugin] Movie Showtimes (April 14 Update)

I just installed the current version. Trailers play great, it is awsome. The one problem I have is that after the first time I ran it, the showtimes are not updating. I have it setup to update every 12 hours and to get 6 days worth of data. At this point it has tonight and tomarrow night before it runs out of data.

I manually queue up a download and it tells me it is updating but stll only two days worth of data.

What I have noticed, and this could purely be how my system is configured, is that if my wireless network connection isn't established before Beyond Media is completely started that Showtimes downloads stall out. If I restart BM once the wireless network connection is established I have found it generally works fine.

Yeah, mine is a hard wired 100Mbit connection. I also have BM and BTV starting late using a macro designed to start them about 30 seconds after the machine has finished loading all the start ups.

Re: [plugin] Movie Showtimes (April 14 Update)

Any plans on adding support for HD trailers (720p or 1080p)?

What I discovered today is that if I kept the showtime plugin on screen after kicking off a manual download it works fine.

Interesting find. Next time I notice the hang on my system I will try this instead of a BM restart.

Re: [plugin] Movie Showtimes (April 14 Update)

Just installed this plugin... its great!... Just wondering, is it normal that some of the movies don't have trailers? I have quite a few movies that don't have the trailer option... eg: Casino Royal, and several others.

Thanks,
Cyriel

I have trailers for Casino Royale. But yes, there are some movies which simply don't have trailers.

If you just installed it it's possible that the trailers are still downloading and that's why you do not see them yet. However, I have noticed that sometimes trailers do not work at all, and then a week or so later they start working again.

Cheers,
Scott

Re: [plugin] Movie Showtimes (April 14 Update)

I just wanted to say thank you to the plugin author for making this plugin.

I got it up and running, and it's fantastic. Love the trailers, can't wait to show the wife. Definitely some "wow" factor there
