ok, I'll give the nero+quicktime a try too on high settings. Thanks again for all the help. I really like this plugin.

Re: [plugin] Movie Showtimes (Mar 15 Update)

Firstly I would like to say I really like this plugin. It is very helpful. I was wondering if it is possible to add something like a coming soon option so that movies that are a ways off can still be added hopefully with their trailer too. For example. Star War Eposide III does not come out until May, but the trailer is already listed on yahoo's site.

It seems as though the plugin as it is now only downloads what is currently in the shows or what is withing the next week only, but not beyond that.

Re: [plugin] Movie Showtimes (Mar 15 Update)

Wow -- Beyond Media, thanks to these plugins, just keeps getting better and better! This is a great plugin! My two daughters and son think it is SO cool, and so do I!

I downloaded and installed the plugin with no problem. I took the Quicktime/Nero approach, which works wonderfully -- the trailers playback with incredible quality and smoothness.

I did stumble because I first installed a copy of Nero that came with my CD burner, which did not include Nero Showtime. I then downloaded and installed just package two of Nero 6.0, which includes Showtime, from Nero's website. You don't have to install the full Nero package if you don't want to.

I do have a question regarding the management of the trailers -- does the plugin automatically delete the trailers when a movie is no longer showing?

I am so impressed with this plugin and the DVD Library plugin! Thank you to the obviously highly-skilled developers who provide these plugins to the Beyond Media community.

I'd see something like this being in the realm of another plugin. Something whose sole job was to snag preview trailers for movies. I know you're probably thinking that I'm crazy since it does most of what's needed already, but I'd like to keep each of my plugins as streamlined as possible.

When a movie has not been in the listings for a week, the trailer(s) for it will be deleted automatically.

Re: [plugin] Movie Showtimes (Mar 15 Update)

My Movie Showtimes plugin has been working great for a week. I installed the Crisp Curves skin last night and now the Showtimes won't display the Movie Posters. (The Trailers still work.)

I confirmed that the directory has about 30 posters downloaded. So I know they are there. They just don't display on the screen anymore.

Don't know if this has anything to do with the Skin being installed or something else. Has anyone seen this? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to test or how to get the posters back?

Thanks!
MIKE

Do you see the posters in the other skins? This might be a bug with the skin that I haven't noticed yet. I edited a bunch of the XML files and thought I had everything just right. Please check and let me know. If it is in the skin, I'll get it corrected.

Re: [plugin] Movie Showtimes (Mar 15 Update)

Good Idea... I will switch back to the original skin to see if it works again.

I leave on a business trip tonight and won't be back until Monday evening so won't be able to report back until then. Maybe some others can try it and comment on it in the meantime.

I'll try it myself when I get home also, but let me know what you find out.

Thanks.

Re: [plugin] Movie Showtimes (Mar 15 Update)

This is a great plugin is there anyway to specify theaters any other way other than zip code because I go to theaters in differant zip codes sometimes it would be cool to be able to select your list of theaters and only view those. Kind of like how live 365 you can add stations to the main menu if you could just type zips and select theaters as favorites.

Re: [plugin] Movie Showtimes (Mar 15 Update)

I just signed on to download the March update to the CrispCurves skin and I noticed this post.

Movie Showtimes has been working great for me also, then all of a sudden the posters no longer display, although the trailers are still there and work fine.

I'll download the update and see if it makes any difference.

Re: [plugin] Movie Showtimes (Mar 15 Update)

I downloaded the latest update to the CrispCurves skin and the posters still do not display. I also tried the default skin and a couple of others; the posters do not display using any of the skins.

Re: [plugin] Movie Showtimes (Mar 15 Update)

OK, I just checked this out in every skin I have on my machine. It is universal to all skins. No movie posters, just text and trailers.

Re: [plugin] Movie Showtimes (Mar 15 Update)

Was a change in the site with movie listings for US/Canada, putting together a fix now.
