Viewing Clear Qam in BTV

I have a Hauppauge HVR-1600 card in Win XP Pro.
Beyond TV does not display the Clear Qam channels that my card has detected. Can this be corrected? Thanks

Actually, at this time Snapstream does not support Clear QAM on any device other than the HD Homerun. They are currently beta testing a USB tuner card from Hauppage, the 1950Q.

Since QAM is a standard, unlike some at Snapstream that seem to believe it is not, your card should work with clear qam once they have released it. However, don't count on it. It is also clearly stated that 1600 clear qam is not supported.

Brainhose - Skip what CBGifford said. Since this is not the beta forum, discussing beta software directly is not apprpriate, BUT - get the beta. The 1600 will work fine.

Re: Viewing Clear Qam in BTV

There are a few beta testers having problems with the HVR-1600 Clear QAM channels. (I mention this because the lastest beta is now a public release) If you want to get more detailed information or discuss this, then you can sign up and join the beta group. Discussion of on-going beta stuff here in the public forums is generally frowned uppon. But you can easily sign on to the beta group.
