Using a different DVD decoder?

It looks as if BM SHOULD be able to use a different DVD decoder other than cyberlink. There's an option under the DVD settings menu where you can select different decoders.. However, Cyberlink is the only one that appears there. I have NvDVD and would prefer to use that. Why doesn't it show up here?

Re: Using a different DVD decoder?

Is there any site that lists different keys for different decoders?

I'm trying different ones, but I don't know the keys. I'm assuming they are registry keys.

The command "dvdupgrd /detect" lists "NeVideo.ax" version 3.2.0.18 as my present decoder.

No matter what I do, or how I edit this file, I only see CyberLink and None as my options.

Re: Using a different DVD decoder?

Those magic numbers come out of the registry. To add a different decoder, you need to use regedit and search for the decoder filename to find the GUID associated with it. Unfortunately, I don't have any on this computer to figure out where to tell you to look but if you look for the GUID for Cyberlink 9bc1b780-85e3-11d2-98d0-0080c84e9c39 , you will likely find any others nearby.
