Fast Forward

I would like to be able to fast forward through the video. When i watch it, the FF controls are greyed out.

It would be nice to have features similar to TiVo that FF 30 seconds (the typical length of commercials)

For some reason the FF controls are greyed out when you playback the video as a direct file, which is the PVS's default mode for local playback. If you set the web server to "link to streaming server", the FF controls should become active.

I found that viewing an ASF using windows media player 6.x that the fast forward button was greyed out. However, when I upgraded to windows media player 7, watching the same ASF let me use the fast forward button. This might not apply to your situation but I figured I'd share.
