Fetaure req:use folders hierarchy within Video Library

I love the interface, I think that is the best feature of your product.

What would be great would be to use your interface as my media player. If I could sort my media more it would be very useful.

While being able to use SS3 as my media library player could be interesting, the support for folder hierarchy is a show stopper !

I want to be able to create a folder for each member of my family (which I do now), but would like to have folders whithin those folders to store specific programs, such as my wife soaps.

Please SnapStream ! Next point release ?

Considering it's one of our most often requested features, it sits very high as priorities to hit now that we can go into full scale new feature development. (complete movement into new feature dev was slowed/paused because we had to focus first on getting out our trial edition for users to try out our stuff before committing any money to it).

What is SnapStream's preffered way to receive requests ?

On a related note, is there any way to sort the library by anything other than recording date? It would be nice to be able to group items by show.

I've resorted to creating show specific or at least theme specific video folders in SnapStream Web Admin and moving / recording the shows to their respective folders. The listing in the GUI is then grouped by folder (in the order the folders were created) and then sorted by date within the grouping.

I have been lurking here a bit and ran across this thread while searching how to sort my library differently.

I was wondering if anyone knew the planned time frame for this feature. IE being able to sort by something other than recorded time and also the possibility of file hierarchy involved.

I have a library of well over a few hundred shows and growing quickly, so it can be a bit tedious scrolling through them all. Plus I also organize many episodes in order, for example all my farscape episodes are organized by season then episode, While they are in order via the folder, snapstream displays them in order by the date the file was last changed.

I also know my wife records cooking shows and would love to have them sorted by title so she can find them easier. I think this would be a wonderful feature :) plus she won't bother me as much. purely selfish request :D

PS I love the recent addition of Div X 5. All my movies are DivX 5.1 along with every episode of Farscape, STNG etc.. ripped from dvd and encoded. Love to see this pairing and Sort options along with support for folders and possibly other ways to organize our libraries would be icing on the cake IMHO. Keep up the great work.

I think better folder/file management is pretty high on the to-do list so I would expect them to start (if they have not started already) working on this very soon.
