25 minute limit in new 1.55 beta??

What's with the 25 minute limit in the new beta?

I understand that you need to encourage people to buy, but if you put this limit in I think a lot of people just won't download any upgrades, as the 25-minute limit makes the program useless.

You would think people would just pay the $50 and buy the program, but right now there are still too many bugs and $50 is a lot of money (for some of us). Since they won't download any upgrades, they'll never see Snapstream get to the point at which they would have bought it.

The beta version works much better, but now I've clobbered my registered version. e-mails to tech support have gone unanswered so far. I think its a great product, but I'm not clear on why e-mail support takes so long on a simple request. (Even if the answer is that there won't be a registered until its released)

It said to remove the registered version before putting in the beta. Which sucks since I JUST bought it andf would like to use the beta except that it won't record the shows I want which are a lot longer than 25 mins. They should remove that for those of us with the full version.

Yes, 1.55 release is in the works. Sorry about the lag time in e-mail replies the past week. Will be more prompt in the future.
