I have a HVR-1950 and a 1600. I have 2 DIRECTV satellite receivers. One currently already hooked up with s-video. If I hook up the other receiver with s-video would I be able to see both receivers in BeyondTV and would the channels be listed double the normal amount or?

Thanks

Sure and the channels would be listed once. Works fine.

Now, would there be a way to be able to tune to a specified tuner at any given time?

You can point a particular show to a particular tuner, but why? Let BTV manage it.

How is that done? It probably seems silly but I main use this program as a viewer and not a recorder.

As far as I know, it is only recordings.

Can you explain why you need to specify? It shouldn't be necessary.

Well I have one TV Tuner hooked up to 1 DVR and sometimes the DVR that I have it connected to has 2 things recording and I can't watch live TV on my PC. So I have another Tv tuner and another DVR that I would like to be able to switch to. However I can't tell BeyondTV which DVR to change to.

You would need to make sure you have something that can "control" the both STBs. If you have an IR blaster, BTV would manage both tuners. You would setup each tuner tv with the STBs respective lineups for their boxes, and BTV would combine the listings and manage your tuners controlling their STBs.

Okay, I have a USB-UIRT so I think I know how that would work. I would program the remote setup for the 2nd box and BeyondTV would save both remote configs.

Go to your web setting, video & audio inputs and change the order by moving your preferred video source to the top of the list. That way, when you chose Live TV or click on from your program guide for the current viewable video signal, you will be viewing the preferred live video stream. Of course your IR Blaster will need to be associated with this video source or you will have to use your video remote control to change the station. Simple to set up and works well for me, where I have a DISH Network receiver with two built-in tuners, one a standard IR remote to control, the other tuner controlled by a UHF frequency based remote controller. The concepts are the same, the implementation a little different due to the hardware you have. Sorry but I am at work and not in front of my PC running BeyondTV. - Craig

Yup that is the exact implementation I am going with. I just need to wire the 2nd cable. Thanks for responding.
