I'm looking forward to SFC's "Tin Man" miniseries (http://www.scifi.com/tinman/) in December. Was trying to add it to my Favorite Search list but get'n a lot of false positive matches using the in quotes syntax of the name as I typed it in the last sentence.
Like so:

Matches for favorite search: "Tin Man" IN ALL
UPCOMING SHOWS: Comcast Firestone
Rain Man - Fri Sep 21 08:00 PM - TVLAND [033 ]
Rain Man - Sat Sep 22 02:00 PM - TVLAND [033 ]
Rain Man - Sat Sep 22 09:00 PM - TVLAND [033 ]
Walker, Texas Ranger - Thu Sep 27 07:00 AM - USA [030 ]

Humph! Still, looking forward to this mini but guess I'll set a note on my calendar.

Snapstream.NET's search mechanism has been broken for a very, very long time. So far, there's been zero effort made on fixing it. Pity, it was actually useful at one point.
The "notifications" part has been broken nearly as long, but that's probably not a bad thing due to the "false positive" search problems.

I agree, the search feature used to work pretty quickly...until they fixed it to make it faster. At one time, when you hit the first letter it would pull up results and narrow from there. Now I can usually put the entire name of the show in before it's through searching. I don't use it often but it's even less now

The searches work fine for me, how are they "broken"?

Amazingly, I actually got a notification e-mail this week (after posting the above). First I've gotten in close to a year. Suspiciously, it's on a new favorite search I recently entered. My previous searches don't notify, so I may delete and recreate them.

But "phrase" searches still don't work. Enter, for example, "Miami Vice" (in quotes), and you'll get back everything with either Miami *or* Vice, just as though the quotes weren't there.
You're saying that works for you? Now that's mighty weird.
