Now that the Sopranos is over and its summer, I've found a lot less recordings happening on my BTV machine as re-runs play on. According to BTV Buzz, it doesn't look like anyone is recording much new stuff - save for Mythbusters, which I already have.

Whatcha watchin'?

Rescue me is back soon. I tried watching John from Cincinnati, didn't sweep me off my feet. Christine had new episodes. 4400 starts soon. Discovery has something called Universe just seems to have started. (or is it History?) Studio 60 has a few episodes left, FX will have that Glenn Close lawyer series soon (forgot the name, has the girl from Prison Break I think, as well as an old Ted Danson) and of course there's always the New Red and Green Show (not as funny as I remember it, blame it on fishing and beer).

Otherwise, pretty much planning on catching up with my extensive backlog of shows and movies. Oh, last episodes of Drive July 4th.

Besides, my wife will kill me if I watch too much tv in the summer.

Kyle XY started back up again last night. I was right in suspecting that his "parents" were really a setup by his "creator" to get him out of the Trager's house to safety. Although I felt the way they handled his return to the household would take a few more episodes than it did. The addition of XX also is going to throw a different dynamic on the whole thing.

The explanation of how he's so intelligent is a little lame in my opinion. You'd reach a certain point where it didn't matter how long a being was gestated that they'd level off in potential. I think there's more to it than they're saying and that he's had some genetic tweaks done.

Then there's Eureka coming back in a few weeks too.

I'll be watching The 4400 (of course), I'll sort of be watching Eureka (the wife really likes this one) and I'll begin catching up on Jericho which is being re-aired beginning July 6th (http://digg.com/television/Jericho_s_first_season_being_re_aired_starting_Jul y_6th) and being renewed after all thanks to the nuts.

Speaking of Jericho, I will be recording it and time-shifting it no matter what the President of CBS asked (http://brentevans.blogspot.com/2007/06/cbs-to-jericho-fans-watch-jericho-live.html).

Do you folks think Jericho is worth watching? I've heard good things, but didn't watch it since I thought it would be cancelled.

Actually quite a bit of cable and network shows startup in July.
Psych (USA)
Big Brother 8 (CBS + Showtime)
Eureka mentioned above (SciFi)
Monk (USA)
Kyle XY (ABC and ABC Family)

I like Psych, Monk and Eureka, gotta make sure Eureka is still on the list. Never saw Jericho or Kyle XY, I'll load those up just to see what they are.

Kyle XY is sort of a teenage "John Doe". If you liked John Doe (was played by that guy off Prison Break and also played Draco in Blade Trinity, I think his name is Dominic Purcell) then you'll like Kyle XY.

KyleXY has wide male, female and wide age group appeal, IMHO. My mom at 77 likes it, my 18yr old daughter, my wife at 43, and I like it.

Also, looks like The Loop is back, I thought this got canceled and deleted the show, teach me to remove things from my lists. I missed the first episode yesterday. Looks like a lot of shows seem to be popping up for the summer.

Chris Angel is also back.

As to the timeshifting BS, unless you have device from Nielson actually measuring what we watch, it doesn't matter. The people that are screwing up the ratings are the Nielson people that have TIVO, DVR, etc.

I've gotten into some PBS programs that I had forgotten about, like BBQ University. Unfortunately, I'm also watching some trash (IMHO) like Are you smarter than a 5th grader? and Next Best Thing... ugh........ I get A&E in HD through my box but not unencrypted, so no HD reruns of the Sopranos for me!

Lil' Bush on Comedy Central, haven't watched it yet but it has Daily Show like political satire. They've also got an American Garage or something sitcom starting in July.

I'm sure all of you have it scheduled...but tonight is the series finale (yes the end of the show) of Stargate SG-1 after 10 seasons.
As for Doctor Who, I think Sci fi's new season starts in July, I know that BBC One is airing them now.

Not interested in downloads. The UK DVD's are available for 3 parts of the 4 for season 3 now. (amazon co uk). HAven't released US dvd's yet. Probably waiting until the end of the season airs in the UK.

Hope they start to run it soon, I ran out of boxsets to watch :)

The Closer just started new episodes on TNT, it's a pretty decent show, IMO.
