If you haven't seen this years hit show Heroes, the SciFi channel is running a Heroes marathon starting at 9am Eastern. As any good Network TV exec would require it, they are NOT showing the episodes in order :brickwall
So record them all tomorrow and watch them in order after they air the original pilot at 11pm Eastern. The season finale is Monday night. Heroes is an excellent show for teens and adults. Watch it.

\Heroes is an excellent show for all ages.
I like Heroes, but it (IMHO) is not for all ages, particularly, particularly the episodes depicting people missing the tops of their heads. Just a little gory for sensitive young ones.

Yeah sorry about that. It does have some graphic content and would be more than scary for the younger ones. Thanks for the catch.

I was just going to post, started catching up on the recordings I've missed, I should be able to get everything but seven minutes to midnight,(gonna have to find alternate...) then I can actually start watching the series from the beginning (seriously)

Ok, finally got the whole season (all but tonights episode) So now I can finally start watching from the beginning (as soon as I get through all these season finales).
Here's the interesting thing, I went through hours of recording, smartchapters, showsqueezing, and sorting all the episodes, then I noticed I could have just downloaded the first season via bitorrent in a fraction of the time and energy put into obtaining it legally.
It's a peculiar world we live in. Tack that onto all the problems the media whores are injecting into HD cable and DRM and seriously, I start to think why bother. All I want is to be able to record shows and watch at my leisure (when, where, and how I want and as often as I feel like) with the option to skip through commercials I have no interest in. Am I asking too much? Is it inherently wrong to do this, specifically since I pay then hundreds of dollars a year for the privilege of watching their content (Directv, not really complaining about OTA)? Why is it in the end, the only practical solution to this dilemma might be piracy?
Ok, off topic.

Don't want to hijack so I will say this one thing and leave it at that.
ZetaVu, I would be inclined to agree with you. I started my TV recording project really a long time ago because I was always recording things to VHS. I was curious to watch Star Trek:Enterprise when it came out but it was carried where I lived so who got the me the content? The internet with BitTorrent. Now I didn't do this for other shows but over the years when I haven't been watching a show and needed to catch up (Battlestar Galatica in particular) I would go and download the episodes. I found that although I wasn't feeling guilt for doing something "illegal" I did want to have my episodes sooner because downloading wasn't always reliable.
That's when I decided to build my first BTV server and that was about two years ago. Now I can record way too many shows but every once in awhile something won't record right or a sport will delay the broadcast and I won't have caught it so I go back to the reliable Internet for the content. I have one friend that doesn't even subscribe to cable and just downloads all of his TV shows and watchs them through his modded Xbox.
I would be nice if they all (networks I mean) made it that easy. Oh well.
Sorry for the off topic post.
End of hijack.
