I am looking for some shareware that will record a video of what is being displayed on screen. It needs to record both video output and sound output, preferably in mpeg or avi. Any suggestions?

Are you looking in recording mouse clicks (what's going on on the computer screen), like for a titoral? or you looking to record TV/video?
Can you be more specific on what you trying to do? And why? It might help point you in the right direction.

Well, I didn't want to be specific because of the legality of this issue. Nonetheless, I missed Lost and I'm pissed. I am a BTV user and I've recorded every episode of Lost on my PC. There was a widescale power-outage and my UPS was unable to stay up long enough to record last night's episode of Lost. I really hate to think that I can't have the episode that is on www.abc.com, so I wanted to see if there was a way to record that in spite of my power outtage. Hell, I would have had it anyway if the power didn't go out right? BTV users, Tivo users... etc all have it stored somewhere. Is this really an illegal activity?
Anyway, please suggest any software. I just need video capture so I can snag that stream that is on ABC's website.

I am a user of azureus.. but I thought you needed to be in a bit-torrent community in order to use it? I was invited to a community a long time ago that does NOT share video torrents.
Please advise. Thanks!

While you might get access to better selections or such, you don't have to. There are plenty of web sites where you can search for torrents, isohunt comes to mind...
